Joining the real (blogging) world
I finally broke down and installed some real blogging software here. I'd resisted it for a while, at first because I was in denial that I was doing the blogging thing, and later because I like making things hard on myself -- I had decided to put something together myself, after learning PHP and MySQL. It's now over a year later and I haven't gotten past the part of the PHP book where they explain what a variable is, and it was getting really tedious doing this thing with the little bits of cobbled-together PHP I did have, so, well, it was time.
Now that it's all set up, I'm quite happy with it. It still needs some work here and there, but I'll get to that soon enough. And most exciting for me, it has comments so I don't have to feel like I'm just nattering on in the corner by myself.
Now. On with our irregularly programmed schedule.

Yeah, I'm really liking having comments. I feel like I've been mooching off my friends for a long time and finally moved into a place big enough to invite people over and have dinner parties of my own. :)
